Do you feel like you need to get away from it all?  Come ground yourself at our quiet, peaceful oasis.  We’re located in the heart of Hilliers on beautiful Vancouver Island, only minutes away from the sandy beaches of Qualicum .  You can stay for a night, a few days or a week at our budding Ranch.  Wake up to the singing birds and fall asleep at night to the sounds of the rustling leaves as the sweet aroma of the forest dances in the air.  Breathe in the freshness and joy of the day and exhale everything you left behind.

We have nine spaces with full services and two spaces with no services--Boondock Camping!  Our camping spaces are private and well placed so that you can choose to be as social or solitary as you please.  All sites have access to a "sani-dump", well water, wifi and an outhouse.

We offer a camping experience like none other that you would find anywhere in this area.

Little Qualicum Falls Park (including Cathedral Grove) was recently rated as the number one attraction on Van Isle!   One of the nicest parks in BC and it’s only 10 minutes up the highway from us!  And we're only 20 minutes from Englishmen River Falls, 10 minutes from downtown Qualicum Beach and 10 minutes from those crazy Goats on the Roof!

We are a working farm and you can buy, if you wish, our naturally grown, non-medicated/non GMO meat, eggs and produce here at our kiosk.

Our rates are $45/per night or $300 for a week for non-serviced ("boondock") sites and $55/night or $365/week for full services.  Monthly rates available.  Free Wi-fi is also available at our Kiosk area.

Campfire wood is free in the designated campfire area when no burning bans are in place.

Harry's Hideout

Welcome!  We live in a quiet, rural area of farms and families.  For the safety and security of us, our farm, our neighbours and yourself, please observe the following.

  1. Please observe the local speed limits of 50km/hr.  Speed limit on our farm is 5km/hr.

  2.  There are loads of public parks and trails nearby.  To respect and maintain our neighbours’ privacy, please refrain from exploring down un marked roads or driveways.

  3. Smoking is permitted only at your site or at the reception/campfire area, no where else.  Please dispose of your butts responsibly and don't leave them on the ground.

  4. This is a working farm with electric fencing in use.  Maximum 2 pets per site.  Please do not leave your pet unattended outside of your rig.  Please keep any pets leashed outside of your rig at all times.  Please clean up after your pets.

  5. Please don’t feed our animals.

  6. Fires are permitted when there are no burning bans in place.  There is a community campfire area where people can be as close or distanced as they wish.  The firewood is provided and free.  We are surrounded by forest and dry leaf beds and ask that fires are restricted to this area only.  If you’d like a more private fire at your site only propane campfire rings are permitted.  If you don’t have one, you can rent one here for $30/day.

  7.  ALL fires must be contained within the fire ring available, monitored closely and extinguished by 11pm.  Please do not move the fire rings.

  8. Please no loud music after 11pm.

  9. This is BEAR country.  Please do not leave food or garbage outside of your rig at any time or when leaving. There are dumpsters for garbage and recycling and blue bins for glass and returnables behind the reception area.  Please use the appropriate bins responsibly. Please keep your campsite neat and tidy at all times and leave it as clean as you found it.

  10. Please one vehicle and or one RV per site.  Guest parking is at the reception area.  Guests must leave by 11pm unless paid to stay over night.

  11. Maximum 4 adults per site.  Additional overnight guests (up to a maximum of 2) are $6 per night.  Extra tents on site are $10.

  12. The water is not tested regularly enough to guarantee its potability.  We STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT DRINK THE WATER.

  13. Summers are dry here and water is at a premium.  PLEASE do not use more water than you absolutely need to.  Please no washing dishes or otherwise at the water taps or well.

  14. If you didn’t come equipped with a toilette, PLEASE use the outhouse.  We are on a septic system. To maintain its ability to properly function and comply with health regulations, only normal holding tank contents into the provided service island sewer intakes.  All drain hoses require the proper adapter to fit the 3” or 4” bayonet or foam seal in order to be leak and odour free.  Drain hoses should be properly supported to allow adequate drainage.  USE ONLY SEPTIC SYSTEM FRIENDLY TOILET PAPER PLEASE.

  15. We are an active, working farm in development.  Along with the smells and sounds of nature are also the sounds and smells of a farm.  You will probably hear the Roosters in the morning and various times throughout the day.  They’re kept company by the Turkeys who also like to be heard.  And then there’s the Guineas.  All of our birds and Goats free range all day and sometimes it happens that birds decide to visit the other side of the fence.  If you notice this, please feel free to text me and I’ll come bring them home:)  Also, our farm dog, Roxie is mostly quiet during the day but does her job well by keeping her critters safe and warding off predators at night.  This means that sometimes she may bark a little….or a lot.  If this is something that you think would be a problem for you, you may be best to scope out other locations for your stay.
